A non-surgical nose job is a mostly painless procedure, which takes about 30 minutes to perform. Non-surgical nose job is a simple reshaping procedure that uses advanced facial fillers such as Perlane, Artefill or Radiesse. Dr. Rivkin will inject the selected filler into the places where reshaping is required. His approach is to use the procedure to bring the nose to harmony with the rest of the face and therefore make you look more attractive and contribute to your self-confidence. You can look in the mirror while undergoing the procedure and can control the results of the procedure by making suggestion on which parts you need to further enhance. Radiesse is the #1 filler material used for doing the non-surgical nose job in Dr. Rivkin’s Los Angeles clinic. Radiesse is made of cellulose and calcium. Dr. Rivkin also uses Perlane for patients who want to retain the option of dissolving the filler if they do not like the effect. The calcium in Radiesse is the same kind of calcium that is in our bones and teeth. Since there are no foreign materials in Radiesse, there is no skin test necessary. Perlane is made of hyaluronic acid which is also a substance in our bodies. There is no skin test for Perlane.
The third filler that Dr. Rivkin uses in his Los Angeles practice is Artefill. This is a permanent filler that consists of methyl methacrylate in bovine collagen carrier. Artefill requires a collagen skin test before it is used in your procedure. When Artefill is used carefully for this Los Angeles nose job procedure, it provides a permanent effect that, in selected cases, is the equivalent of a surgical rhinoplasty.
The filler material used to perform the non-surgical nose job (Perlane or Radiesse) will not move from one place to the other or lump up inside the tissues of the nose. When either material dissolves, it comes down symmetrically over several months. Both calcium in the case of Radiesse and hyaluronic acid in the case of Perlane are broken down naturally in the body and excreted, leaving no trace. This Los Angeles nose job procedure generally does not cause any kind of swelling or bruising and patients can usually go back for work immediately after the procedure.
Non-surgical nose job results will last for ten months to a year if the filler used is Radiesse. In the case of Perlane, results often last for eight months. Artefill is a permanent filler, so the results last for many years. Some doctors are using silicone for the permanent non surgical rhinoplasty procedure, but due to safety concerns, Dr. Rivkin does not recommend Silicone. Artefill is a safe and permanent filler when used precisely by an experienced doctor such as Dr. Rivkin.
